Hey there!
Interested in our guild’s activities? Want to influence how and what things are done in Skilta?
Main board positions require Finnish language, but you are more than welcome to apply for officer positions once the application for those opens later this month!
The main board is your chance to get to plan and decide on all our guild’s activities.
In board roles, you get to form your own team and freely implement your ideas alongside your responsibilities. Commitment, the ability to take responsibility, and leading your team are crucial in these roles.
Responsibility also brings freedom, and you don’t need to know everything beforehand, as the previous board and other experienced members are always ready to help! It’s a good idea to reach out and ask current board members if you’re considering a role that suits you best or have any other questions.
For questions about the application process, the current chairperson, Kaisa Kjellman can help.
For practical details about the roles, the current board member in that position can provide more information.
What is the main board?
The guild’s board consists of members with different areas of responsibility, as well as teams of officials (official position applications will open later). The main board’s tasks include administrative duties, primary responsibilities for their areas and their development, and leading teams of officers.
More administrative roles include vice-chairperson, secretary, treasurer, and advocate. The event coordinator, corporate relations officer, food and beverage officers, tutor coordinator, and communications officer work closely with officer teams.
Board roles come with both responsibility and freedom. In these roles, you can influence how tasks are handled during your term! Board members are key in forming their area’s officer team and can delegate tasks as they see fit.
